Bak Kut Teh

Thank God for pre-packs..=)
I've finally gotten down to trying this.

Ingredients:
  • Pre-packed Bak Kut Teh herbs.
  • 500gm frozen pork ribs. (I chose this coz it was cheaper. You may want to use fresh pork ribs, but frankly, no difference in taste.)
  • 4 cloves of garlic (Skin removed)
  • 6 dried mushrooms, soaked and halved.
  • Dark soy sauce
  • Pepper
Preparation:
  • Marinate pork ribs with dark soy sauce and pepper for at least 1 hour. (I did this overnight.)
  • Soak and half mushrooms.
  • Remove skin on garlic
Method:
  1. Follow instructions on pack. (Boil herbs in approximate 1 litre of water for 20min.)
  2. Add all the other ingredients in and boil over low heat for at least 1 hour.
  3. Serve hot.
(You may serve this with rice or noodles, mee sua, etc...)
